I was quite surprised how much I liked this book. I had heard mixed things about it and some of those things were pretty bad so I didn't go into it with high hopes. The Regulators is the sort of sister book to Desperation and I enjoyed this one more. I will say that this book starts off much stronger than it ends which is a problem I have with quite a few of King's books.
This book really starts off with a bang and the bulk of the book where chaos is ruling I found very riveting. I love books that throw challenge after challenge at the cast and books that you never know what is going to happen. The cast of this book are put in life threatening situation left and right and the body count is quite high, King has no problems killing off his characters in this book.
For a nice riveting and tension filled book I can suggest The Regulators. I found it a good time. |
